What bigger news could there be than--

THE FIFTH ANNUAL GMB/7SL CONTEST!--The contest where everyone who enters wins!

PHASE ONE: The sign-up!

For my returning regulars, this will seem old hat. For the newcomers, here's how we do things:

Phase 1 is the sign-up. What you do is you respond to this journal with the link to the pic of who you want to draw. As people sign up, I post their names and character choices in the "contestants" section.

THE RULES:

1. For pics of one character, one character to an artist. This is so we don't have five pics of the same character as the entire contest.

2. Team-ups and crossover pics are allowed. Also, if someone is doing a single-character pic and you want to use the same character in a couples/crossover/whatever pic, I'll let you use that character, because it's not the same as a solo pic of the same guy.

3. DEADLINE FOR SIGN-UP: MARCH 23, 2009! (That's just the latest you can sign up--you don't have to have the pics done by then)

But yes--more than five entries are allowed, don't sweat it, that's the minimum. The more the merrier!

PRIZES:

EVERYONE--One copy of the GUNMETAL BLACK, book, autographed if you want me to. You get this just for entering the contest, hence the whole "you enter, you win" hook. NOTE: Since a lot of my international entrants in years past, I will say it here--wherever you happen to live, I will send a book out to you if you ask for it.

FAN PRIZE: This is voted on by people who cruise by my journal (added last year because I had an amazing amount of quality entries and wanted to reward everyone) The winner of the fan prize gets a lineart pic done by me, .

GRAND PRIZE: A full-colour pic done by me, (NOTE: In case of female pics, breasts may not be of plausible size)

Oh and you get your artwork up on the respective sites in a special section with a link back to you and I talk you up to everyone I know.
